IF YOU DRINK ANY OF THE TEAS ON THIS LIST, THROW THEM AWAY. THEY ARE FULL OF DANGEROUS PESTICIDES!
Tea is never washed before packaging, so all of the pesticides that the plants had been sprayed with aren’t removed at all. Instead, they are still on the tea.
Some of these pesticides are carcinogens and can be found even in the organic types of tea, which always point out that use natural flavors, which acts as an illusion that they are clean and safe.
In a research, published by the Food Research International, it has been shown that a great amount of the UK population take fluoride above the recommended dose. This can cause many health issues related to bones, teeth and kidneys, and is related to the great consumption of tea.
Fluoride is absorbed from the soil by the tea plants, and is stored during the growing process. The tea made from older plants, which is usually cheaper, contain more fluoride and fewer antioxidants, and is not so useful for the health.
Teas and tea brands that contain pesticides:
In a research made by the CBC (The Canadian broadcasting corporation), many brands had been checked and investigated:
- King Cole
- Uncle Lee’s legends of China
It is alarming that most of these brands used more fluoride and dangerous chemicals than the legal limit. They are:
King Cole – It contains monocrotophos – a chemical that causes irregular heartbeats and may lead even to coma. There is an appeal for banning of this chemical.
Uncle Lee’s legends of China – The products from this brand contain over 20 different types of chemicals and pesticides, one of which is endosulfan, which can severely damage the nervous system.
Red Rose was the only brand that doesn’t contain pesticides.
Tea is a drink that is very healthy, but people should be aware what kind to use. White tea is safe as it contains the least amount of fluoride because is made of young leaves. Also, you can plant tea on your own, or use GMO free brands. You should read the ingredients on the packages you buy, and choose those that are pesticide and GMO free. Also, you can learn the exact brewing time for the different types of tea. For example, white and green teas need to be steeped for 2 to 3 minutes and black tea for about 3-5 minutes.
